TechNetters,

Does anyone know of a standard that specifies the acceptable dimensional
tolerances on surface mount pads on PCBs? How much latitude does a board
shop have?

In other words, if pads are specified to be .010" wide, how wide or narrow
could the board shop make the pads and still have them be acceptable under
class II .( I've just ordered a copy of IPC-6012 but I don't know if this is
covered.)
