We are considering using Polyimide Thermount for some of our
applications where in the past we have used Polyimide MLB's with
Cu/Invar/Cu or Cu/Moly/Cu foils or cores to achieve CTE's in the range
of 8.0 to 11.0 PPM/ degree C. Our applications are primarily for use
in the military aerospace environment. I would very much appreciate
hearing from PWB fabricators and users of their experiences with using
Thermount. Information that I would be interested in, but certainly
not limited to would be the following:
Handling
Storage
Conditioning
Processing
Rework
Conformal coating
Testing, Thermal & Environmental
CTE data
Applications (end use)
Applications (SMT - leaded/leadless, device types/sizes)
