Methyl ethyl ketone is also one of the twenty or so organic chemicals
specifically limited by the toxicity characteristic under RCRA. The
limit under that test is 200 mg/L (ppm). You want to be careful that
you don't contaminate any of your non-hazardous waste with MEK, because
if it is tested and fails the TCLP test, your non-hazardous waste would
be considered hazardous. You might want to consider either segregating
the MEK waste or, better still, using another solvent.
