Steve,
Thanks for the reply. It was helpful. The components are
coming off pre-wave and post-wave. The pre-wave issue was a lack of
adhesive. The post wave loss is the real problem. The reason I am
suspicious of the glossy solder mask is the fact that the remnants of
the adhesive are not present. There is a slightly discolored circle
where the adhesive was but there is not significant adhesive still
present. It appears the interface between the board and the adhesive is
where the problem is.

On a similar note, when using Epibond 7275 or 7275-1, what needle size
and standoff did you use for 0603's? We have tried a 27 gage needle
with a standoff of 0.002" and it usually plugs up after 90 minutes. The
Alpha Metals and Camalot people say to use a 27 gage with a 0.004"
standoff and to also tweak other parameters. Do I even need to go to a
27 gage or will a 25 gage work? Any comments would be appreciated.

Regards, Wade Oberle
