Ditto on the Dickson.
We have 6 in house.  Easy to buy, Easy to use, Easy to Calibrate -- and the price is reasonable.

        I would recommend starting with Omega.  ( www.omega.com)
they carry recorders, conditioners, and many data acquisition goodies.
