We are a telecommunication equipment manufacturer (OEM) and we wave solder all are boards assemblies. On almost all our PCB Assemblies we
used small value ( 2pF, 6.8pF, 27pF, 39pF etc...) ceramic 50volts capacitors. When we wave our boards, we have to process our boards at a
conveyor speed greater than 4 feet/min. with a dwell time below 2.3 seconds or we are in a lot of trouble. If we attemp to solder with a
greater dwell time, the value of the capacitors changes sometimes by as much as 25% ( a 39pF becomes a 30pF after wave). We happened to
have difficult to solder boards and it would help if we could increased the dwell time. The solder pot temperature is at 480°F.

Now is there someone who knows a solution to that problem or is there someome who experience the same kind of problem?

I certainly would appreciate any suggestion.
