Yes, You can also plate with OSPs and Hard/TAB gold. This works very
well if you are utilizing Gold/Card Edge Connectors or something
similar that requires a gold contact surface.

Ni/Au PWBs in wave solder or SMT reflow solder very well. We limit
the Au thickness to 2-6 microinches (very important). We have
experienced some "peculiarities" in wave solder but not directly
attributed to Ni/Au PWBs. For some reason a Ni/Au PWB does not
tolerate touchup or post-wave assembly as well as a HASL or OSP PWB.
Maybe someone more knowledgeable on this topic can shed some
     additional light.

     Harlan

Does anyone know if you can selectively plate with OSPs and Immersion
gold on the same PCB? I would like to do immersion gold on my keypad
contacts but use something Like Entek on the rest of the PCB. Is this
possible?

My PCB assembly vendor doesn't like reflowing immersion gold PCBs. He
claims the solder doesn't flow very well. Is it just him or the rest of
the industry?
