Bev,

OK, I stand corrected. Here is the scenario; we use Citrex to clean up our
polyurethane spray equipment. We removed some fittings that had Teflon tape
on the threads and after a couple of days we noticed that all the tape was
gone and there was a white residue in the bottom of the cup. Now that you
have raised the question I took a good look at the tape and it is "Ribbon
Dope", thread sealant form Permacel, no mention of Teflon. I guess we just
assumed that the tape was Teflon.

As far as Citrex goes it does work very well. It comes from Inland
Technology Crop. in Tacoma, Washington, 800-552-3100. The hazardous
ingredients from the MSDS are Methylpyrrolidone, D-Limonene and Glycol
Ether PNB.

Hope this clears things up a little.
