hi,

just because the vendor's 'shelf life' requirement been exceeded, it
doesn't mean that the material is not acceptable.  i'm sure the vendor
is giving a very conservative shelf life no.  besides, the material
doesn't just fall apart on the day the end of shelf life appears.

why don't you test the material yourself according to requirements that
are important to you?  i don't know your specific requirements, but
storing the material at a low temperature can extend the life of the
material.

My company uses Stycast E-151-3 epoxy.  Our demand is small but the
manufacturer has a high minimum buy quantity.  We cannot use the
material up before the expiration date.  The manufacturer refuses to
recertify the material.  Does anyone else use this material and have a
similar problem?
Would you like to go in on an order with us so we could all have a
chance to use up the epoxy?
