Three bankers and three engineers were
all taking the train to Chicago.

The bankers each bought a ticket but the
engineers only bought one ticket among them.

"You three can't all ride the train
with only one ticket!" the bankers exclaimed.

"Sure we can" replied the engineers,
"you just watch and learn."

Upon boarding the train, each banker took a seat
while the three engineers crowded into a single restroom.
The conductor came down the aisle and punched each ticket.
When he reached the restroom, the conductor
knocked on the door and said, "TICKET PLEASE!"
The door was opened only slightly.
A single ticket emerged.
The conductor took it and punched it.
After the conductor moved on, the three engineers
emerged from the restroom and took their seats.

"Pretty smart", the bankers said.
"You win. We'll have to remember that one!"

On the return trip, the bankers only
bought one ticket among them.

The engineers just walked right by the
ticket booth without buying a single ticket.

"You can't ride the train without a ticket,
you need at least one ticket!!!
You guys invented it for crying out loud!!!"
insisted the bankers.

"Sure we can" replied the engineers,
"you just watch and learn."

Upon boarding the train, all the engineers crowded
into one restroom and the bankers into another.
Once the bankers had closed their door,
one of the engineers left the other restroom,
knocked on the bankers' door, and said,
.
.
.

"TICKET PLEASE!"
