meeting in Tempe

Thank You Fern,

Unfortuantely, I do have commitments on Wednesday that only only allow
me to get to Tempe by 10PM in the evening of Wednesday, but I have
already gone ahead and booked a flight to attend the Thursday and Friday
proceedings.

See you Thursday.

As the designated representative at Phoenix Contact for Standards, I
would also like to discuss other activities where my contribution may be
of benefit.
Please add me to the to IPC leadfree distribution list.

Kindest regards,
Arnold Offner

Subject: Notice of meeting in Tempe, AZ in January

Dear Colleagues,

Your chairman, Richard Kubin, E2open, has asked us to inform you of a
special two-day meeting scheduled to be held on Wednesday through
Friday, January 19-21, 2005. The meeting will be held at the Fiesta Inn
in Tempe, AZ; the location will be in the Ponderosa room of the
conference center.
The meetings will start on Wednesday afternoon at 1:00pm; we hope to
conclude our deliberations on Friday morning by noontime.

Some of the attendees may be primarily interested in helping to
establish the strategy for defining standardized material declarations,
while ensuring that other resources (i.e. JIG) are referenced and
business objectives are defined. Thus they should be available at the
beginning of the sessions on Wednesday and on Thursday morning, but may
opt out of the more IT and documentation focused sub-group meetings that
will follow. A key objective is to define a strawman for the standard
documentation and the data model.

The agenda for the meeting is:

1. Introductions
2. Approval of the agenda
3. Review and agreement on MD project details
   3.1 Project objectives and output
3.2 Identification and contribution of the participants and
related
   organizations
3.3 Establishing a consensus strategy and guidelines to ensure
   organizational alignment
3.4 Project milestones and working schedule
4. Review of NEMI Format team output and JIG reporting requirements
5. Develop outline for MD standard(s)
6. Break into separate groups to start Strawman
   6.1 Documentation structure
6.2 UML modeling and XML schema generation
   6.3 Adobe PDF forms design/development

7. Report back to main committee on progress
8. Establish assignments for APEX EXPO presentations
9. Adjourn

Please send an email message to Jeanne Cooney <[log in to unmask]>
informing her of your intention to participate. We would like to make
certain we have prepared enough material to pass out to the attendees.

We wish you all a very happy holiday season and thank you for your
continued support.

Cordially,
