As taken from Schedule 3 of the UK draft regs:
6. Lead as an alloying element in steel containing up to 0,35 % lead by
weight,
aluminium containing up to 0,4% lead by weight and as a copper alloy
containing up
to 4% lead by weight.

CDA260 is a 70/30 brass (C26000 now I believe). Pb content is less than
0.1%, but as Chris rightly points out under RoHS Pb is OK up to 4% as it
is required for free machining alloys

You talking for RoHS? It is quoted in the directive and is permitted as
any alloying metal in brass up to I think 4% - you'll need to check - I
don't have access to the doc at present.

I have conflicting information on the max allowable % of lead in CDA 260
brass.
One reference claims a 0.07% max and the other claims 0.70%.
Does anyone know for sure?
