本规范涵盖了刚性印制板的鉴定和性能，包括带或不带镀覆孔的单面、双面板以及带或不带盲孔/埋孔和金属芯板的多层板。该规范涉及最终涂覆和表面电镀涂覆要求、导体、通孔/导通孔、验收测试的频次和质量一致性、电气与机械及环境要求。C版本新增了很多新要求，包括新表面涂覆层、孔镀层厚度、白斑、露织物、塞孔的铜盖覆电镀、层压板裂缝及空洞、凹蚀、盲孔和埋孔的填塞、验收测试及其频次的要求，以及对热应力测试的要求。本规范的有关要求已与IPC-A-600H统一，可与IPC-6011配套使用。取代IPC-6012B附修订本1。全文共52页，于2010年4月正式发布。
