Real easy answer....STUPIDITY, STUPIDITY, STUPIDITY...I'll take a good
  seasoned DESIGNER over an operator anytime!!! If you can get both, great,
  but I would certainly prefer to train a good designer on a CAD system, then
  try to train a good cad operator to be a designer....Takes awhile.. Don't
  believe the SALES guy that anyone can operate his MAGIC PUSH BUTTON SYSTEM
  and out pops a complex design... That's part of the Santa Claus/Easter Bunny
