Julie Most of our power supplies are part of a mixed signal board and therefore limited to 1oz. Where necessary we simply make the traces wider. As far as power carrying vias that are not filled with solder or a component lead we use multiples to spread the load. Our dedicated power boards usually are 2oz and again, have parallel vias where necessary. Being that our particular uses range from a few mA to many amps, there is no hard and fast rule, rather general guidelines and engineering review.
