I seriously do not have issues with consultants. I have used consultants in the past with mixed success, overall the relationship has been good.

It is my understanding that this forum was established for industry professionals, and non-professionals alike, to network for the sole purpose of education, knowledge, the sharing of ideas and to enhance both personal skills and knowledge as well as help each of us move this industry into the future with as much ease as possible.

I really don't mind hearing the opinion and receiving assistance of consultants but when they offer to provide solutions for a price, I believe they are stepping outside the scope of this forum.

Now, that's all I'll say on this matter.

And yes, in the future I'll either post their solicitations or delete them.

Werner,

Technet is a place where people are looking for solutions to their technical
questions. Most of the time, a specific solution can not be given since the details of
the specific applications are lacking, so people give out some generic ideas, or point
to a source where one may find a solution. A consultant is such a source who may have a
solution. Why it is unacceptable for such a source to contact that person or company
directly ? This person may well have a solution to their problem. And that is the
purpose of having this forum - finding solutions to one's problems.
