Hi Manon If the press itself is driven by coil of this size (we have we coil clamps on our sealers); than in close vicinity your concerns are well founded ; the inductions will (obviously) occur . I'd say you should be even able to measure them on some loops . If you'll find an induction ; you know that (generally) something is happening outside of your control . Considering your population the risk is high enough to take precautions (as ESD) . White flash is known to target memory blocks ; and without going with gaussmeter around your coil and rigging your board on ict, discounting the (similar to ESD damage) delayed weakening factor ; I'd switch to hydro or pneumatic piston (servo may be a luxury).
