I received this e-mail from one of our fellows in France and it is out of my field of expertise.  Does anyone know which document I should be pointing him towards?

1.      DEVICE & NODE NAMING CONVENTION

In order to facilitate our compatibility drive with the rest of Nortel, we request that the following device & node naming convention is adhered to:

1.1.    Power and only Power signals must start with '+' or '-'.
1.2.    Valid ground names are: 'GND', 'AGND', 'LGND', 'FGND', 'PGND', & 'SGND'.

If additional ground names are desired please seek agreement from the Board Test Group.

1.3.    All ICs and only ICs must begin with either IC or U, e.g IC2, U6.
1.4.    Node names must not exceed 40 characters in length.
1.5.    The following rules regarding other device names should be adhered to where possible:

1.      Capacitors should begin with C.
2.      Inductors should begin with L.
3.      Resistors should begin with R.
4.      Resistor packs should begin with RU.
5.      Connectors should begin with either PL or SK.
6.      Transistors should begin with either TR or Q.
7.      Diodes should begin with D.
8.      Diode packs should begin with DU.
9.      Jumpers should begin with J.
10.     Fuses should begin with F.
11.     Switches should begin with SW.
12.     Relays should begin with RLY.
13.     Zeners should begin with ZR.
14.     FETs should begin with FET.
15.     LEDs should begin with LED.
16.     Crystals should begin with XL.
17.     Oscillators should begin with OSC.
18.     Modules should begin with MOD.
