He should be able to reverse-engineer the design (however, much hard work to get the whole intelligence back into the dum gerber files) and output native ACCEL data. Or if this happens not so often, contact ACT (http://www.ecam.com), the manufacturers of CAM350, they offer data conversion as service. I cant't say anything about the quality of the reverse-engineered data or about possible problems.
