If you believe me and the reports in the industry they cannot even >place 0603 with good confidence level. Reason--very simple. The centrifugal >force throws the component before placing it on the PCB. I know users on >Fuji in Singapore who have experience this problem. Maybe in the southern hemisphere, geomagnetic forces combine affect the rotational inertia of the turret and overcomes the nozzle vacuum to a greater degree. You might try turning the turret the opposite direction. The dynamic mathematical proof of this is beyond the scope of this posting, but in this part of the globe, using turret chipshooters for 0402's seems to be fairly well established. ;-) And Venit, you seem to be about five days ahead of the international date line, based on your posting dated Sept. 6 appearing on the first. My experience is that whenever you say "cannot" (even lowercase) you will attract several people who will explain how it is done, especially on TechNet. cheers, Jerry Cupples Interphase Corporation Dallas, TX USA http://www.iphase.com ############################################################## TechNet Mail List provided as a free service by IPC using LISTSERV 1.8c ############################################################## To subscribe/unsubscribe, send a message to [log in to unmask] with following text in the body: To subscribe: SUBSCRIBE TECHNET <your full name> To unsubscribe: SIGNOFF TECHNET ############################################################## Please visit IPC web site (http://www.ipc.org/html/forum.htm) for additional information.
