Responsibilities Drafting of Schematics for electronic assemblies using Viewlogic software. Layout of PCBs using PCAD(old) &/or PADs(new) software to IPC standards and Artesyn in-house layout, manufacturing and safety standards. Generation of Gerber files. Ordering Prototype PCBs from external vendors. Ordering Stencils for the SMT auto-insertion process. Generation of Auto-Insertion files. Interaction with PCB and stencil manufacturers, electrical, mechanical, quality and manufacturing engineers and customers. Compilation of associated Assembly and Magnetic drawings using Autocad and Microsoft software. Experience Ability to use prefeably PADs and PCAD preferable. Good knowledge of Single-Sided, Double-Sided, Multi-Layer, Surface-Mount and mixed technology Boards is an advantage. Training can be provided for Viewlogic and other software packages but experience of these is an advantage. Familiarity with the manufacturing processes for SMT and PTH technology. Basic knowledge of electronics and mechancial design is also very helpful. Ability to work as part of a cross-funtional team and communicate internally and externally with cusotmers, vendors and other Artesyn sites. If your interested, drop me a line for more information.
