Graham,

I have seen something very similar within a supplier spec, and at
that time the French office turned it into "pad for wire" in
particular it was a wire bondable pad, so reading between the lines, I
guess its a solderable or wire bondable pad.

                Roger

Technetters
A question for the Euro-Technetters, or perhaps French Canadian... I'm
looking at some drawings for an RFQ, the design is French.
Most of it is not a problem, but there is one component that is identified
with a part number, and a designation of "plage d'accueil pour fil". The
drawing does not help identify this part.

My not so trusty french-engligh dictionary tells me this means something
like "welcome beach" but that's obviously not much help. Can anyone clarify
what this phrase means in this context?

Thanks,
