Hi, "plage d'accueil" means land pattern "fil" means wire So it should be a place where a wire is to be soldered on the board. But I don't understand why it is identified as a component with a part number. Regards, Vincent Bada Process Engineer Alcatel Etca Belgium ------- Technetters A question for the Euro-Technetters, or perhaps French Canadian... I'm looking at some drawings for an RFQ, the design is French. Most of it is not a problem, but there is one component that is identified with a part number, and a designation of "plage d'accueil pour fil". The drawing does not help identify this part. My not so trusty french-engligh dictionary tells me this means something like "welcome beach" but that's obviously not much help. Can anyone clarify what this phrase means in this context?
