3M has a web page on our Novec HFE which may be of interest. http://www.mmm.com/fluids/nov_prom.html Hi everybody, I posted a question few months ago and didn't get too many answers for this subject. I assume that there was not too many effort at that time to implement a new cleaning media to be used in vapor degreaser for the replacement of 1,1,1-Trichloroethane. It would be appreciated to have any comments or inputs from those who have implemented a new cleaning solvent with 0 or low ODP to replace the solvent HCFC-141b. I would like to have your appreciation on the product you have selected. Have you tried aerosol cleaner degreaser for manual cleaning and how does it compares with vapor process? What have been done to implement the solvent replacement (ex: cleanliness test, inspection, SIR testing or more)? Is the Appendix D (Material and Process Compatibility Testing) of J-STD-001B been used for the implementation if you assemble Class-3 products? If you have any suggestion of cleaning solvent suppliers (for vapor degreaser or aerosol degreaser), please send it to [log in to unmask] <mailto:[log in to unmask]> . Thanks folks!
