Hi Bob- This may not be what you want to hear, but I strongly suggest you go with the official Mydata upgrade. This way you know it will work and Mydata will warranty the machine. My clients have had the best luck when they purchase used equipment directly from the manufacturer. Universal, Fuji, MPM, DEK, Siemens, Philips, Mydata and others take equipment on trade-in and refurb to spec. Purchasing one of these units is the best way to go and usually worth the money. If you do buy from a used equipment broker or from a "yard sale" caveat emptor. I suggest you contact the equipment manufacturer for upgrades, calibration and maintenance. In fact, contact the equipment manufacturer before you purchase it to be sure they will even make upgrades available and for what price. That possible bargain may not shine as brightly after all.
