Dear Technetts, One of our manufacturing plants is planning to use the ANOVA (analysis of variation) approach to calculate process capability and repeatability. I am not really familiar with this method of process monitoring. I've read on the Internet, that ANOVA allows you to determine significant differences between two or more means. But, I am not sure how it could be used for high volume production process monitoring. Is this approach better than X bar and R charts and process capability histograms? Does somebody use ANOVA for this purpose? Please, share your experience with me. Sincerely, Stella Neyman Eaton Incorporation ################################################################ TechNet E-Mail Forum provided as a free service by IPC using LISTSERV 1.8c ################################################################ To subscribe/unsubscribe, send a message to [log in to unmask] with following text in the body: To subscribe: SUBSCRIBE TechNet <your full name> To unsubscribe: SIGNOFF TechNet ################################################################ Please visit IPC's web site (http://www.ipc.org) "On-Line Services" section for additional information.
