Hi there,

We are buying PBGA substrates in strips and allow to have not more than 1
X-OUT per strip or 10% X-out per lot whichever is lesser. We are facing a
problem now - the substrates which is X-OUT will still go thru the
processes such as molding etc (no die and bonding only). These processes
and materials cost work out to quite a substantial amount.

How do you take care of that ? Do you force vendors to pay for the
additional processes/material costs ? Do you get them to charge you lesser
for the substrates if there is certain % of X-out ? Do you have any special
formula to calculate ?

Would appreciate very much if you can share with me your valuable experience.
