Nick- As others have said this is generally used as a solvent. It is also a carcinogenic compound, if the vapors are inhaled for extended periods of time. There is some NEJM info from its archives which suggest it can also be toxic when prolonged contact occurs; equally, it can also cause lesions on skin of 'sensitive' users... In general, outside of an analytical laboratory, it usually does not have a place in printed circuit manufacturing, as there are other less toxic compounds available. > Bill Davis, Ph.D. > Diamond Multimedia Systems > Senior Scientist > Tel. 408.325.7868 > Cell. 408.888.5650 > e-mail: [log in to unmask] > > -----Original Message----- From: Nick Nicolaides [mailto:[log in to unmask]] Sent: Thursday, April 29, 1999 5:11 AM To: [log in to unmask] Subject: [TN] Question from customer Our customer from Japan requested if we use "dichloromethane"?
