I would be more than happy to hear from vendors, but maybe they should respond directly to me. Thanks. Steve Quinn >> Hi Steve (cool name by the way...), You have SMT parts breaking off? I've used RTV to hold PTH components down, but I can't think of what kind of SMT component it would be that someone suggested you use RTV on...RTV by the way is basically a silicone sealant that stays flexible. I've used such materials to apply to radial components laying them down on the board in a dab of RTV. What kind of component is it that's breaking off? Sounds to me like there's really a solder issue that you got on your hands... -Steve Gregory- ################################################################ TechNet E-Mail Forum provided as a free service by IPC using LISTSERV 1.8c ################################################################ To subscribe/unsubscribe, send a message to [log in to unmask] with following text in the body: To subscribe: SUBSCRIBE TechNet <your full name> To unsubscribe: SIGNOFF TechNet ################################################################ Please visit IPC's web site (http://www.ipc.org) "On-Line Services" section for additional information.
