Pretty good guess Armando ; the compound ; composite ; emulsion ; etc.; would be closer ; the "aggregat" segment of the typical german pile up formation meaning : to collect into whole ; to combine ; clearly states composite term ; I'd doubt it inticates more state than mix of the matter .
