We also came across the same problem of f and on. Being subcontr. , it is difficult if not impossible to relayout or redesign. Problem includes other combination as well e.d. SOP to DIP. But in our case , the volume is low , redesign is not an option and we are still looking for custom vendor/ solution provider. Let me also know if somebody has come up with solution . You could have panels assembled with the SSOP and some SIP headers, then you would have a direct replacement part to use until you can update your designs.
