Dear TechNetters, I'm new to the system but so far I have been very impressed with the knowledge and spirit of cooperation. Everyone should be proud. I work for a contract assembler. We have standard top of the line Fuji equipment but we still have a gap in our automation. I am interested in Vision based robotic systems such as the Flexfeeder 250 from Adept technologies to fill this gap for odd form placement and placement of parts in bulk. Does anyone have experience with such equipment or competitors to Adept. I am concerned that the accuracy of the placement will not be sufficient since these systems use the edge of the board for registration rather than viewing the fiducials. Adept claims an accuracy of +/- 0.003". This would be fine on most parts if we could also use fiducails. Any and all comment would be appreciated. Regards, Wade Oberle Sr. Mfg.
