Think this way, Lay down a 5ft plumber's copper tube on a table and fill the tube with steel balls from one end to other. Now get a ball and push it in from one end of the tube. A ball from the other end would fall off as soon as you insert a ball from the one end. Now you do the same with a 10ft copper tube. The time it takes (if there is any) to fall off would be same for 5ft and 10ft tubes Next time get a lock that you can lock your door with a key from outside.
