HEY Ed, what's the idea stealing my bakery things??? Bakery stuffs and running down to a grocery store to get them had been always my idea, is my idea now and will be my idea (HEHEHEHEES). Sheeee, don't mention it on Technet anymore OK? Earl, This maybe is a dumb question, Why don't you get heaters fixed? I had an experience of damaged heaters (luckily no crack on the solder pot) after moving our Electrovert machine. The cause was those heaters came loose from the solder pot wall. And when the machine was on, it caused partial melting of heater elements and metal casings. Once heaters work properly, you can do bakery stuffs as Ed mentioned, or as per your preference. Don't worry about solder flowing out thru the crack. Depending upon a condition of crack and where the crack is, it freezes itself after flowing out a little bit. OR you can place a small pan under it.
