Yeah, I do remember that class now that you brought it up...I guess what I was thinking about with this diode deal, was what I learned later on...in junior high or high school I think, which was: "Anything will fit if you push hard enough"...and that applies to a lot of things, not just square pegs and round holes....hehehe -Steve Gregory- P.S. By the way, thanks everybody...I was able to take care of damn dumb diode. The fix was pretty simple, logical actually. It was suggested by a ol' crusty techie to get a solder tailed pin receptical (Mill-Max was the source for that), wave that, then put the diode in...piece o' cake! I was wondering, when someone helps you out and gives you a real simple fix like that, do you ever feel kinda dumb? Like; why didn't I think of that? There was a little disapointment though, after reading Paul's suggestion, I was kinda' looking forward to sitting down and; quoteth Paul: "Take a just undersized needle, plunge it half way in and GENTLY vigle it in full circle (a knob on the end of helps, without going to details)" B^} ################################################################ TechNet E-Mail Forum provided as a free service by IPC using LISTSERV 1.8c ################################################################ To subscribe/unsubscribe, send a message to [log in to unmask] with following text in the body: To subscribe: SUBSCRIBE TechNet <your full name> To unsubscribe: SIGNOFF TechNet ################################################################ Please visit IPC's web site (http://www.ipc.org) "On-Line Services" section for additional information.
