Helloo, Once in a blue moon, I am experiencing a minor problem of cracked 1206 resistors. Resistors are cracked in half and it is very random (not coming from one mfg or reel batch). I isolated the source of problem which is coming from our Fuji CP3 chipshooter pick/place process. It seems that a resistor gets cracked in half during the component pick up sequence from a reel or placement sequence on the board. I know the force of nozzle spring acting on resistors during the pickup and placement cycles is a prime factor for cracking them. Do you, Fuji experts! have a solution for the problem? regards Matthew Park NII-Norsat International Inc. ################################################################ TechNet E-Mail Forum provided as a free service by IPC using LISTSERV 1.8c ################################################################ To subscribe/unsubscribe, send a message to [log in to unmask] with following text in the body: To subscribe: SUBSCRIBE TechNet <your full name> To unsubscribe: SIGNOFF TechNet ################################################################ Please visit IPC's web site (http://www.ipc.org) "On-Line Services" section for additional information.
