It makes a difference what kind of solder you use. If you use special low drossing solder, you won't benefit, because the Kleenox will pull out the organics, mainly the Phosphorous in your low drossing solder, then you'll be back where you come from. Kleenox will benefit you if you have intentions of using less fresh solder to replenish your pot; However, downtime may or may not be reduced. I want to try some Kleenox "P" to reduce the amount of dross from our Wave Solder pot. Does anyone out there have any good or bad experiences with its use? Will its repeated use leave a residue or contamination in the solder? Are there any downsides that I'm not thinking of? Lastly, was it cost-effective for you to use?
