Paul Anderson The netlist compare is picking up trace width information that is out of range. This is common if you are using Viewlogic's Viewdraw. To make it simpler edit the .asc file and del the trace width information that is right after the netname (12 0 0 0 -2 most of the time) and any other numbers. Hopefly There are no spaces in the netnames. Then create the ECO file using netlist compare the .asc from the schematic is the new design. After you making the ECO file make sure there wasn't any trace width info magicly added (0 or 5 most of the time). That is the good news the bad news is you may have to rewrite/edit the Pads config file in Viewdraw so that it only outputs the information that you wont.
