Hello Technetters For those of you who don't know, the Winmail.dat files you occasionally see popping up on the forum can be ignored. Their origins are a user (usually someone new to the forums) who is using Microsoft Mail. They have the "Return Receipt" feature activated, which attaches a Winmail.dat file to their mail. When another Microsoft Mail user opens the posted message, a return receipt email is automatically generated by their Microsoft Mail, which, in this case, gets sent back to [log in to unmask] (just like when you press the "Reply" button). If you are using Microsoft Mail, PLEASE DISABLE THIS FEATURE WHEN SENDING FORUM POSTINGS. It can cause certain systems (particularly Macintosh systems using Eudora) to crash. Not to mention the flood of "Read:" and "Not Read:" messages on the forums. Thank you for your cooperation.
