How was everybody's 4th? ('cept for the poor people in Florida, I heard on the news how yours was...bummer, I hope things get better for ya'll!) Anyways about these polyimide stencils I've been reading so much about here lately, I got a couple of more questions before I try one: 1. Do you spec these in just like stainless ones? I mean like the thicknesses ect....is there a max and a minimum thickness? 2. Have you found that you need to change things a little because of the good paste release? For instance I found that when I first went to metal blades I needed to spec one mil less stencil thickness because I didn't get ANY scoop- out anymore...anything along those lines with this polyimide? 3. I'm assuming that the whole kit and kaboodle needs laser cutting, no combo stencils huh? Ya' know 50-mil stuff chem etched and the fine pitch lasered... 4. Price? Just ballpark it...I know Kathy as many stencils as you guys probably go through you probably get a better price break than I would... 5. Do they hold up during ultrasonic cleaning? That's about it...(I think). You know, back when I first heard about electroformed stencils I thought that we were just about pushing the limits as far as stencil technology goes...but as Gomer would say; "Surprize, surprize!!" then he would say; "Gollie, or; shazam!" (GRIN) Thanks in advance! -Steve Gregory- ################################################################ TechNet E-Mail Forum provided as a free service by IPC using LISTSERV 1.8c ################################################################ To subscribe/unsubscribe, send a message to [log in to unmask] with following text in the body: To subscribe: SUBSCRIBE TechNet <your full name> To unsubscribe: SIGNOFF TechNet ################################################################ Please visit IPC's web site (http://www.ipc.org) "On-Line Services" section for additional information.
