Hey everyone,

As most of you are probably already aware, there is quite a bit of concern
about the accuracy of Ionic Contamination test methods with OA fluxes. My
company has started looking into using IPC Test Method 2.3.25.1 as an
alternate method. The procedure requires that you put the board in a bag
with 75% alcohol and 25% water, sealing it, and placing it in a 80C water
bath. You then measure the contamination level in the liquid.

Has anyone started using this? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Kevin
