Also try www.download.com There is a plethora of free/shareware, for various utilities. I know that a program called LviewPro works well importing and exporting practically any graphic format. Autocad release 14 also seems to be able import and export most formats, even raster ones. Both of those formats are composed of colored dots, which don't translate into most CAD packages. CAD software doesn't use dots (or bits) it uses vectors. Nothing I know of will let you translate bits to vectors very easily (trace algorithm in Corel maybe) Good Luck, Jack -----Original Message----- From: Alexis Meehan [SMTP:[log in to unmask]] Does anyone out there know how to convert a tif file (or a dxf file) to a bitmap image? I have a tif file from SolidWorks that I want to import into Viewlogic (it's a title block with our logo). The support guys at Viewlogic say nope, can't be done, but I'm not buying it. With all the technology available I should be able to do this without buying some expensive conversion tool. Has anyone else run into this problem? Any solutions? Thanks. ################################################################ DesignerCouncil E-Mail Forum provided as a free service by IPC using LISTSERV 1.8c ################################################################ To subscribe/unsubscribe, send a message to [log in to unmask] with following text in the body: To subscribe: SUBSCRIBE DesignerCouncil <your full name> To unsubscribe: SIGNOFF DesignerCouncil ################################################################ Please visit IPC's web site (http://www.ipc.org) "On-Line Services" section for additional information.
