Jerry, We have a valor Genesis seat and enjoy the ODB++ format as a better method of analysising and preparing designs for fabriaction. However, as a fabricator I have not had 1 customer offer or inquire about sending me an ODB++ database instead of gerber. We are however now receiving Pads ASCII input and DXF input in place of gerber.. This is a very good trend. I have no idea of ODB++ will become the format of choice but I do believe that board designs out put as a single file can be better translated to a plot language (gerber) by the people plotting it than by someone else.
