Is anyone asking there fab house to do an IPC-D-356 netlist test to their boards? If so, how is it defined in your fab notes? Our current fab note reads: PCB shall be electronically comparison (netlist) tested. Our problem? In the past we had supplied them a schematic netlist (i.e. reference designators, pin numbers, netnames, etc). Great for ICT but means nothing to the fab house. So, the fab houses would do a quick netlist generation from the gerber. Waahla! Garbage in, garbage out. I have started supplying them with the 356 netlists, but I still don't feel confident they HAVE to use it. Is there a good, reliable notation I can add, without being too strict, so they understand I want testing per the 356 netlist?
