OK, Jerry, sounds plausible - but 1/2 oz is still 'way cheaper than 1/4 oz with aluminum carrier that has to be stripped off. Would the 1/2 oz profile meet your objections?

Thanx,
Fred J.

Fred
I am not up to date on new methods and equipment.
Years back I was involved in a program to "shave" the copper.
Unless there are some major improvements in uniformity, I advise against it.
Remenber that when you are finished, the copper will still have the tooth of
one ounce copper, and will require overetching compared to "real" 9µ foil.
I would be glad to discuss history with you.
Good Luck
Jerry Sallo
