Randy , Sorry to here about a fire , Anyway if they are able to be exposed to H2O one of the best Cleaners I have found is one from ALCONOX called "Detergent 8" . It is a very low ionic free rinsing cleaner designed for Labware and Printed Circuit Boards. I don't have the address handy , but you can get ALCONOX products through Fisher Scientific. If you need non-aqueous systems it gets more difficult with component compatibility issues , there are a lot of "Designer" solvents out there that can do the trick, ( If they don't melt the components) Russell Smith russell.smith @ cibasc.com. ---------- From: Randy Johnson (Loveland) To: [log in to unmask] Subject: [TN] ASSY:Preventive Maintenance Cleaning of PWB Assemblies Date: Friday, March 06, 1998 4:29PM Can any recommend a procedure/cleaning agents for cleaning smoke damaged printed wiring board assemblies? ################################################################ TechNet E-Mail Forum provided as a free service by IPC using LISTSERV 1.8c ################################################################ To subscribe/unsubscribe, send a message to [log in to unmask] with following text in the body: To subscribe: SUBSCRIBE TechNet <your full name> To unsubscribe: SIGNOFF TechNet ################################################################ Please visit IPC web site (http://jefry.ipc.org/forum.htm) for additional information.
