Jim, I can only speak for my own site, but we do solderability testing in three cases: 1) Components that have never been used before 2) Components exhibiting solderability problems on the shop floor 3) Components with a manufacturing date older than eighteen months. This is done when they come in/are used which are usually the same. Hope this helps. regards, Bev Christian Nortel Belleville, Ontario CANADA > ---------- > From: Jim Marsico 516-595-5879[SMTP:[log in to unmask]] > Sent: Thursday, March 26, 1998 2:34 PM > To: [log in to unmask] > Subject: [TN] ASSY: PARTS SOLDERABILITY > > I've been struggling with this question for a couple of years now, and it > came > up again... > > Can anyone share with me their component solderability policy?
