The Atlanta Chapter of the IPC Designers Council will be holding its first meeting of 1998 on Wednesday, February 18th at 6:00 pm. The meeting will be hosted by American Megatrends Inc. located in Norcross, Ga. Turn right onto Best Friend Rd. and you will see the American Megatrends building straight ahead. The entrance to the facility is on the front left corner of the building. A presentation entitled, Micro Vias: An Overview Covering the three Primary types (Plasma, Laser and Photo-Defined). The presentation, Hosted by Joe Gibson of Hadco will cover Micro Vias as they relate to Chip Packaging Developments. Having been out of circulation for some months, the meeting shall be addressing the year's schedule and presentation topics as well as introducing our new Atlanta Chapter President for 1998. Suggestions shall be welcome concerning meeting format and a motion to add a new meeting feature shall be voted upon as well. The effort is underway to update the member directory, so please be prepared to provide your current contact information including your e-mail address. Since this is the 1998 kick-off meeting, non-members are invited to participate as well.
