1)We use a red paper tape FOUR PILLARS? (I think!) CM8R. It withstands
HASL very well and peels with no adhesive transfer so no cleaning
necessary. A simple tape dispenser can be used or an automatic pre-
cutting machine if the areas are isolated and length critical.

2)If you want to polish up tarnished gold then an ordinary ink rubber
should be sufficient. They are not too abrasive. I would suggest that
the contacts should not need to be cleaned in this way and this usually
indicates a problem with the gold plating.
