Glass/epoxy or carbon fiber/epoxy materials are common for this type of application. However ceramic fixtures are better fit. They require minimum wavesoldering parameter adjustments to get good soldering results. You may need to have a separate operating parameter log for this type of selective soldering. Depending upon your wavesoldering machine performance and product requirement: - Increase preheat temp - Reduce board speed ( 1m/min??) - May require wavesoldering height adjustment. - Locking mechanism might be needed to secure boards in place. - Increase flow soldering depth (Lambda wave for Eletrovert machines) by adjusting the back plate in the pot. A dual wave machine performs better than a single wave. Maintain a good soldering level in the pot as a traveling fixture (board) in the conveyor tends to displace a large amount of flowing solder. I'd like to know what materials you guys use to cover the solder bath or the PCB itself, as well as things to pay special attention to, tricks, tips, etc. You can respond to me through technet or directly. Thank you.
